Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- six months of supervisory experience or related experience/training preferred
- ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- understanding of safety policies and the ability to follow them
- ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- capability to operate cash register and related equipment
- physical ability to frequently walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, lift up to 40 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 55 pounds
- ability to handle merchandise and store equipment
- willingness to open and close the store as required
- ability to drive own vehicle to bank and training sessions
- comfort working in fast-paced, moderate noise environments
- willingness to be exposed occasionally to strong scents, weather elements, wet floors, and cleaning solutions
Job Qualifications
- effective interpersonal and oral communication skills
- understanding of safety policies and practices
- ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides
- ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
- ability to perform cash register functions
- knowledge of cash, facility, and safety control policies and practices
- knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- high school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience or related experience/training preferred
Job Duties
- provide superior customer service to exceed the customer's expectations
- model product knowledge and selling techniques to enhance the customer experience
- maintain a safe, clean and well-organized store environment that delights customers and employees
- assist in merchandising the store in an appealing manner to retain customer excitement
- rotate product to create eye-catching displays to drive sales
- complete daily and weekly cleaning responsibilities to provide a superior shopping experience
- operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payments and make change
- assist customers with merchandise as necessary
- assist customers in self-checkout process at multiple register terminals
- clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop floors, clean restrooms and stockroom
- help set up sidewalk displays
- open and close the store under direction in the absence of store leadership
- perform additional duties as necessary in the absence of store team leaders
