Job Requirements
- Ability to understand and follow direction from others
- ability to read recipes and memorize and replicate food production procedures
- ability to work in a high volume fast-paced work environment
- skill and coordination with kitchen utensils and equipment
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a line cook
- strong culinary skills with a passion for great food and hospitality
- proven ability to work in a fast-paced high-volume kitchen environment
- leadership experience or potential to lead kitchen staff
- ability to memorize and replicate recipes accurately
- familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
- good communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Lead and support the line during service ensuring quality timing and consistency
- cook and plate dishes according to recipes specs and presentation standards
- maintain a clean and organized station at all times
- assist with daily prep inventory rotation and restocking during and after service
- work closely with the kitchen manager and other cooks to ensure smooth operation
- uphold all health and safety standards including proper food handling and sanitation
- help train and mentor junior line cooks or prep team members
- contribute to menu development specials and tastings when needed
