Job Requirements
- must be 18 years or older
- full-time availability including mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends
- ability to work shifts starting as early as 6 am
- commitment to completing a 6-month structured training program
- strong teamwork and leadership skills
- willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic kitchen environment
Job Qualifications
- 2 or more years experience as a prep or line cook
- knowledge of food safety and quality assurance
- associates or bachelor’s degree in culinary arts (preferred)
- experience working in multi-faceted food service facilities such as restaurants, hotels, country clubs, conference centers, casinos or theme parks (preferred)
Job Duties
- assist the sous chef in running the kitchen and managing employees, overseeing the operations in the absence of the sous chef
- follow recipes and proper cooking techniques to ensure products are consistently prepared to showcase high standards and provide unique guest meals
- educate customers and employees on products, share knowledge to offer complete meal solutions and recommend ways to prepare meal items incorporating multiple departments
- manage employee performance by providing resources, training, feedback and development opportunities
- support kitchen operations ensuring profitability and adherence to food safety standards
- foster a positive team environment encouraging professional growth
- maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas
