Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in high-volume or production baking
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
- Must perform simple mathematical operations
- Must obtain and maintain a current Food Handler's card
- Must possess valid ServSafe certification
- May require gaming license at San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission discretion
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certificate or degree in Baking and Pastry Arts preferred
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in high-volume or production baking
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
- Skilled in performing basic mathematical operations
- Effective communication skills with guests and team members
- Experience working under pressure
- Advanced skill level in hands-on training of team members
- Proficient in interpreting recipes, production schedules, diagrams, and logs
- Ability to delegate responsibilities within the baking team
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation protocols
Job Duties
- Oversees the preparation and production of a diverse range of baked goods, pastries, and cakes to ensure consistency and adherence to quality standards
- Assists in daily production, manages output volumes, oversees recipe execution, and maintains quality control
- Trains bakery personnel and conducts clear, consistent daily pre shifts
- Communicates with management and baking team to address guest and interdepartmental requests
- Ensures proper food storage and utilization following FIFO rotation method
- Supports special production projects, including high-profile catering and casino-hosted events
- Maintains safety protocols, reports injuries or unsafe conditions, and ensures compliance with sanitation standards
