Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience as a sushi cook or in a similar culinary role preferred
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • strong attention to detail
  • ability to work in a team environment
  • excellent communication skills
  • physical ability to lift moderate weight
  • flexibility to work weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • refined verbal and written communication skills
  • previous line experience preferred
  • able to perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • ability to lift carry push and pull a moderate amount of weight

Job Duties

  • Prepare and present high-quality sushi dishes including rolls sashimi and nigiri according to restaurant standards
  • ensure all ingredients are fresh properly stored and prepared in a timely manner
  • maintain a clean and organized workstation adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and specials
  • provide exceptional customer service addressing any special requests or dietary restrictions
  • monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
