Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalency preferred
- Current food handler’s permit or ability to obtain one
- Valid Utah Driver’s License or ability to obtain one
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work with slippery or uneven walking surfaces, excessive heat, excessive cold, gases, dust, grease and oils, and hands in water
- Patience and conscientiousness in performing detailed and skill-based tasks
- Cooperative and approachable team player
Job Qualifications
- High school, GED or equivalency preferred
- Current food handler’s permit or must be able to obtain
- Valid Utah Driver’s License or able to obtain one
- Experience working in a kitchen or food service environment preferred
- Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team setting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow sanitation guidelines accurately
Job Duties
- Set up dish area, sweep and mop floors, wash dishes, glassware, and pans, empty trash and clean receptacles, keep area clean, maintain proper sanitation at all times, set up and break down all equipment used
- Assist kitchen staff members with unloading weekly food truck deliveries and the daily preparation of food
- Drive agency vans to make food deliveries off site
- Maintain proper temperatures and time frames when delivering off site
- Attend assigned meetings and trainings
- Support the achievement of in-kind goals as established in the Head Start Standards and the OWCAP development system procedures
- Other duties as assigned as they relate to the kitchen function
