Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Up to one month related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
- Capability to operate kitchen equipment with certification
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 25 pounds and occasionally exert over 60 pounds of force
- Willingness to work in varying temperature conditions and fulfill physical demands of the job
- Availability to attend required trainings and meetings
- Compliance with company safety policies
- Adherence to timekeeping procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and meal pattern requirements
- Capability to handle kitchen equipment safely with certification
- Familiarity with HACCP processes and food safety standards
- Customer service and cash handling experience preferred
- Ability to work in a team and maintain organization

Job Duties
- Prepare breakfast and/or lunch offerings
- Assist with serving lines setup and maintenance
- Participate in occasional catering functions
- Operate kitchen equipment like slicers, mixers, and grinders with proper certification
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen and serving areas
- Follow standardized recipes and ensure compliance with HHFKA and CACFP meal patterns
- Complete administrative tasks including cash handling, tray counts, and paperwork
- Monitor and maintain food safety logs and HACCP procedures
- Batch cooking to maintain product quality and presentation
- Provide quality customer service and hospitality
- Keep inventory stock organized and requisition supplies
- Comply with all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
- Attend required trainings and meetings
- Submit accurate timekeeping records
