Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • must have or be willing to obtain a food handlers certificate
  • pass state and federal background checks

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is a plus but not required
  • ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Job Duties

  • assist in the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with established menus and dietary guidelines
  • serve meals to students and staff ensuring portion control and adherence to food safety standards
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas including washing dishes utensils and kitchen equipment
  • participate in training and development opportunities as required
  • perform other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or supervisor
