Muckleshoot Indian Bingo is a prominent entertainment venue that has been a cornerstone of the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe's economic growth since its inception on January 21, 1985. Located in Auburn, Washington, this facility has evolved from a modest bingo tent to an impressive 55,000 square foot space featuring two levels, over 1,000 bingo seats, and more than 500 exciting Vegas-style slot machines. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • AA/AS degree in culinary arts preferred
  • minimum of five years cooking experience with emphasis in short order cooking of burgers, steaks, pastas, and breakfast items such as eggs
  • two years kitchen supervisory experience
  • required to possess and maintain a valid WA State health card/food handler permit

Job Duties

  • assists with the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the kitchen staff including hiring, training, career development
  • planning, assigning, and reviewing work performance
  • preparing work schedules
  • maintaining employee department files
  • addressing complaints and resolving issues from department employees
  • creates, develops, and maintains menus, recipes, and related product requisitions
  • assists with the development and implementation of department SOPs, station prep lists, and safety procedures
  • oversees all kitchen operations to ensure guest satisfaction
  • plan, direct, and supervise food preparation and cooking activities to ensure the highest quality of all menu items
  • develops and verifies the completion of assigned station prep lists
  • instruct kitchen staff in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, or presentation of food per Bingo kitchen standardized recipes
  • forecasts required supplies, requisitions, inspects, rotates and inventories current or received products
  • responsible for the specific training of line cooks in sauteing, broiling, grilling, frying, steaming, and baking
  • meets with vendors and recommends new products
  • responsible for waste, temperatures, and other health and safety logs or reports daily
  • coordinates and communicates with other kitchen staff
  • ensures that all sanitation and safety procedures are followed
  • responsible for establishing par levels
  • cooks on the line as needed
  • performs other duties as assigned
