Job Requirements
- Flexible to work in shifts including weekdays, weekends, evening hours, and statutory holidays
- Able to stand for long periods and use work-related tools safely
- Able to communicate in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is an asset
- Knowledge of basic work safety
- Relevant experience and knowledge of kitchen deli product display, promotion, and packaging techniques preferred
Job Qualifications
- Relevant experience in kitchen deli product preparation and display preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and freshness standards
- Ability to communicate in English, knowledge of Cantonese and/or Mandarin is an asset
- Experience in customer service
- Basic knowledge of work safety
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Greet customers by providing good customer service with smiles and be friendly with enthusiasm
- Assist customers in selecting kitchen products and provide recommendations as required
- Ensure product quality, food safety, freshness and ensure FIFO is strictly practiced within the department
- Prepare various kitchen products, label them correctly and display them in the display areas and cases
- Maintain workplace cleanliness by washing and ensuring relevant work tools are clean and well-kept
- Keep product display full, attractive and neat and timely replenish inventory if necessary
- Follow procedures to verify and process expired kitchen deli products and manage shrinkage
- Receive product deliveries and take customer orders
- Ensure daily sales and other checklists are properly completed
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior
