Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • current food management certification
  • minimum 2 years experience in kitchen management or related role
  • ability to stand and move about for up to 4 hours at a moderate pace
  • stamina to work 50-55 hours per week
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • ability to bend, stoop, squat, or crawl
  • coordination to operate kitchen equipment
  • adherence to kitchen dress and grooming policies
  • flexibility to work weekends and holidays
  • willingness to transfer within 30 miles of original location
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • current food management certification
  • possess and demonstrate an ownership mentality
  • flexibility for scheduling
  • willingness to transfer to a different geographical location
  • ability to work a 5-day work week totaling 50-55 hours
  • able to take 2 days off between Monday and Thursday
  • adept at ordering and formulating pars
  • understanding and compliance with Florida State health code standards
  • adherence to Flanigan’s hiring policy and timely conducting of interviews
  • ability to issue written evaluations for employee performance
  • ability to see, speak clearly, listen attentively, taste, and smell
  • ability to read and write English
  • proficiency at all kitchen stations including expo

Job Duties

  • communicate concerning all kitchen issues with management throughout the day
  • read and write notes in the manager's daily log in English
  • attend weekly manager's meetings and monthly staff meetings
  • read the weekly memo
  • complete weekly and monthly employee evaluations
  • communicate with all managers on duty when the shift is completed
  • relate accurate and honest reports of all events both positive and negative
  • comply with all policies, rules, and directions from manuals, memos, and meetings
  • enforce proper measurements, recipe adherence, cleanliness, check time ceilings, and quality control
  • attend quarterly supervisor meetings
