Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead a diverse team
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks related to kitchen operations
  • Food handler's certification or willingness to obtain
  • Commitment to upholding Texas Roadhouse's standards and policies

Job Duties

  • Supervising and overseeing the production and preparation of food according to established recipes and procedures
  • Enforcing compliance with employment policies and overseeing cleanliness and safety in the restaurant
  • Monitoring and maintaining efficient food item ticket times
  • Managing performance of Back of House employees, including evaluations, coaching, and discipline
  • Providing daily feedback and development for key employees and assistant managers
  • Conducting formal line taste and temperature checks to ensure food safety
  • Overseeing proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all food items
  • Managing food costs, tracking waste, and controlling kitchen labor costs
  • Setting schedules and assigning tasks for Back of House employees
  • Training employees on equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures
  • Reviewing applications, interviewing, and making hiring recommendations
  • Creating a safe, fun, and clean work environment consistent with company values and goals
