Job Requirements

  • 5 plus years of experience as a front of house restaurant manager within the retail, restaurant or hospitality field
  • high school diploma
  • must be at least 18 years of age except where law requires 19
  • passion for cooking delicious, healthy and safe food
  • high standards for food quality and customer satisfaction
  • knowledge of local, state and federal food and health department requirements

Job Qualifications

  • 5 plus years of experience as a front of house restaurant manager within the retail, restaurant or hospitality field
  • proven oral and written communication skills
  • high school diploma
  • passion for cooking delicious, healthy and safe food
  • high standards for food quality and customer satisfaction
  • knowledge of local, state and federal food and health department requirements
  • bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Food Science, Nutrition or Hotel/Restaurant Management is highly desirable
  • retail, culinary and/or grocery experience
  • production planning software experience

Job Duties

  • Create an atmosphere of excitement and inclusiveness with team members and guests
  • forecast and maintain teams by collaborating with Talent Acquisition in hiring and training
  • write and manage weekly schedules
  • order all ingredients, supplies, and manage weekly inventory reviews
  • manage sales, profitability, margin, and shrink in the department
  • create food production schedules ensuring food safety and quality
  • guarantee the cleaning schedule is followed and equipment is maintained
  • provide hospitable orientation and onboarding
  • manage training through The Fresh Market Academy and on-the-job training
  • coach team members to optimize operations and increase retention
  • ensure adherence to company standards and policies
  • ensure department adherence to all safety requirements and protocols
