Job Requirements

- minimum of 2 years experience in a kitchen supervisory role
- knowledge of food safety standards
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- strong leadership abilities

- ability to manage inventory and control food costs
- basic computer skills
- physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items

- Proven experience in kitchen management or similar leadership role

- solid understanding of food preparation and scratch-made cooking techniques

- previous experience in the restaurant industry preferred
Job Duties
- Supervising and overseeing the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures
- enforces compliance with employment policies and oversees restaurant cleanliness and guest safety
- directs productivity to monitor and maintain efficient and effective food item ticket times
- manages performance of Back of House employees, including conducting performance evaluations, coaching, and discipline
- assists with the development of all key employees by providing daily feedback during one-on-ones
- conducts formal line taste and temperature checks as part of inventory and safety responsibilities
- oversees proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all items
- understands, manages, and practices safe food handling procedures
- manages food costs, tracks waste, and controls kitchen labor costs
- directs work for Back of House employees including setting hours, weekly schedules, and assigning tasks
- trains Back of House employees on equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures
- reviews applications, interviews, and makes hiring recommendations for Back of House positions
- creates a safe, fun, and clean work environment consistent with company core values and operational goals
