Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Job-related experience
- Ability to perform food preparation
- Ability to lift up to fifty pounds
- Ability to carry out written and oral instructions quickly and accurately with little instruction
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations
- Ability to operate and maintain an institutional kitchen
- Ability to use standard kitchen and office equipment
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to operate a computer terminal and use district software
- Ability to deal with people using tact, patience, and courtesy
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Implement food service operations at an assigned school site
- Assure that the preparation, serving, and storage of food is in accordance with established guidelines and procedures
- Serve meals to students, teachers, and staff, assuring compliance with serving size requirements
- Assemble salads, sandwiches, vegetables, fruit, desserts
- Stock and serve food offerings
- Assure proper cleanliness and maintenance of equipment and supplies
- Operate a variety of kitchen equipment and machines
- Perform tasks such as cleaning and dishwashing
- Assure accuracy of daily cash receipts
- Perform other duties as assigned
