Job Requirements
- Must be 16 or older
- able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- able to be on feet for extended periods of time
- attendance at work is required
- willingness to follow directions and work as a team member
- must be able to pass any required background or health screenings as per company policy
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous kitchen or food service experience is beneficial
- ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety
- excellent communication and customer service skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- basic knowledge of food preparation methods and safe handling techniques
- willingness to learn and take constructive criticism
- ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
Job Duties
- Acknowledge all customers entering and exiting the store
- provide the highest quality of interactions with customers by being pleasant, friendly, and polite
- prepare food items per established recipes and menus maintaining freshness, quality, appeal, and nutritional value
- thank customers in a meaningful manner
- respond quickly and respectfully to customer complaints and notify the person in charge
- make appropriate suggestions to customers orders using suggestive selling techniques
- maintain a safe, tidy, and well-organized work environment
- store food items according to standards using proper labeling and dating
- monitor kitchen equipment and report discrepancies
- utilize safe food handling techniques
- communicate kitchen needs and concerns to supervisors promptly
- support other staff to ensure essential kitchen functions are performed adequately
- maintain inventory of food items and tools
- prepare menu items following proper recipes consistently
- perform cleaning and prep work as assigned
- maintain a positive attitude
- perform additional tasks as assigned by management
