Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • CPR and First Aid certifications
  • pass criminal background screening
  • flexible schedule including summers
  • willingness to work beyond regular hours as needed
  • ability to manage budgeting and expenses

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1-3 years experience in youth programming and development
  • proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to mentor others
  • demonstrated ability to work with youth, parents, and colleagues
  • strong written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of age-appropriate programs for grades K-3
  • provide direct service to members
  • develop and foster a positive youth development climate
  • manage member behavior and administer behavior management systems
  • collaborate with the Elementary Director on scheduling and budgeting
  • promote and market programs and services
  • meet with parents to discuss concerns
  • supervise hiring, training, performance appraisal, and disciplinary actions of program staff
  • perform other assigned duties
