Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • no prior loadmaster experience required
  • ability to undergo comprehensive paid training
  • physically capable of demanding manual labor
  • flexibility to work variable schedules including nights, weekends, and on-call
  • willingness to travel and work in remote Alaskan environments
  • compliance with FAA safety regulations

Job Duties

  • calculate and verify weight and balance for aircraft loading
  • inspect and document cargo compliance with FAA and company regulations
  • physically load and secure freight using appropriate restraint systems
  • operate or direct use of ground loading equipment such as forklifts and K-loaders
  • supervise and manage cargo loading and offloading processes in remote locations
  • monitor cargo hold conditions during flight as required crew member
  • complete final weight and balance documentation and authorize aircraft departure
