Job Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in a related or supportive culinary role is preferred
  • expertise in food product, presentation, quality, and preparation
  • ability to manage time effectively for high quality food production
  • ability to work with minimal direction or supervision
  • excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • highly motivated and flexible with the ability to take initiative
  • flexible schedule to include mornings, nights, holidays, and weekends
  • food handler certification if applicable

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of menu concept and design
  • strong time management and organizational skills
  • ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • flexible schedule including availability for mornings, nights, holidays, and weekends
  • food handler certification if applicable

Job Duties

  • Lead kitchen staff and coordinate food orders
  • supervise food preparation and cooking by checking food plating, temperature, and portion sizes
  • train kitchen staff on preparation and plating techniques
  • store food products in compliance with safety practices
  • maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen
  • assist with scheduling all kitchen staff
  • promote all kitchen health and safety rules
  • price menu items in collaboration with the Restaurant Manager
  • order food supplies and kitchen equipment
  • keep weekly and monthly cost reports as needed
  • encourage and support team members' growth and development
  • take on additional responsibilities as needed
