Job Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an institution of higher education
- minimum 2.0 GPA
- proof of ongoing education required
- able to work 20-30 hours per week
- capable of prolonged sedentary work
- strong communication skills
- high attention to detail
- willingness to solve hardware and software systems issues
- able to work occasionally outside regular business hours
Job Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or equivalent diploma
- currently enrolled in an institution of higher learning pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree for intern position
- actively engaged in hands-on experience with configuration of computer systems, networking devices, programming language training, or customer support
- minimum 2.0 GPA, preferred 3.0 GPA
- strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
- excellent written and oral communication skills
- ability to follow complex instructions and work both independently and in a team environment
Job Duties
- Monitor and support critical infrastructure asset systems
- assist with documenting all changes to configuration of assets including computer systems, switches, routers, and firewalls
- assist with asset management functions such as inventory control and asset tracking within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
- assist with configuration, administration, and management of computer systems and workstations
- assist department and staff with day-to-day operations and tasks
- assist in preparing information and research materials, create and maintain PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets
- communicate effectively with diverse audiences including city officials and the public
