Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Customer service or counter sales experience required
- Knowledge of welding equipment and supplies preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- No DUI/DWI or other alcohol related convictions within the last 10 years
- 2 years of consecutive driving experience or certification from accredited Truck Driving School
- Valid class A or B CDL required
- Current Hazmat Endorsement on CDL strongly preferred or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
- No preventable accidents, license suspensions or other moving violations in past 2 years
- Pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate
- Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift minimum of 75 pounds
- Read and write in English
- 21 years or older
- Effective communication and active listening skills
- Uphold high standards of honesty and integrity
- Demonstrate personal ownership for safety and actively contribute to strong safety culture
- Contribute to a positive work environment where differences are valued and supported

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Provide customer support by taking phone orders, addressing inquiries, tracking order status and shipments and resolving customer issues
- Assess and recommend products while promoting additional sales of hard goods and gases to achieve target margins
- Conduct product demonstrations for customers using customer insights to guide the development of new offerings
- Work closely with and provide sales support to Outside Sales team
- Maintain customer records and files, including accurate account setup and pricing
- Perform warehouse duties and move cylinders for customers as needed
- Deliver products to customers by making an average of 10-12 stops per day, while handling freight, completing paperwork, and providing excellent customer service
- Accurately count and record quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up
- Complete hazardous material shipping orders in accordance with DOT regulations
- Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Identify need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance
- Build relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers to meet business and customer needs
- Continuously build knowledge of Linde's business operations and contribute to organizational growth
- Perform other duties as assigned
