Job Requirements
- Previous food and beverage experience in a hotel environment preferred
- Must be of minimum legal age to serve alcohol according to state law
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physically fit to lift, pull and push items up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, reach and bend throughout shift
- Knowledge of food handling policies and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to communicate in English
- Basic computer knowledge including Micros or other POS systems
- Food handling certificate
- TIPS certification
- Knowledge of food and wine is an asset
- Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent eye for detail and ability to work under pressure
- Effective listening and guest communication skills
Job Duties
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Know the ingredients, preparation, and proper presentation of all menu items and specials and ensure that every product delivered to the guest adheres to the highest quality possible
- Deliver food and beverage in a timely and accurate manner
- Pick up orders efficiently from the kitchen
- Check outgoing orders for quality and accuracy of set up
- Bring all dishes back to the stewarding area
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
