Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older
- 3+ years driving experience with straight or box trucks
- current valid driver's license
- medical examiner's certification is required
- ability to pass any mandatory immunizations and credentialing
- must read and speak English adequately to understand traffic signs and communicate effectively
- compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- ability to perform physical job duties
- reliable and punctual
- willingness to work 4/10 weekday schedule
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- minimum three years driving experience with straight trucks or box trucks
- valid driver's license with excellent driving record
- ability to obtain medical examiner's certification
- strong communication skills in English
- knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations
- ability to provide exceptional customer service
- familiarity with route planning and vehicle maintenance checks
Job Duties
- Perform onsite and offsite document destruction or pick up and transport medical waste
- plan daily schedule based on customers' needs
- prepare and load trucks to service accounts
- pick up specified waste from customer sites
- ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- provide high level of customer service
- perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- report maintenance problems
- operate company equipment safely
- comply with driver fitness and hours of service laws
- complete required paperwork accurately
- maintain security of documents during collection
- service accounts using handheld device
- communicate route changes and customer issues to supervisors
- manage assigned routes timely and accurately
- handle customer inquiries and problems
- perform other assigned duties
