Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Four years of relevant experience
- Appropriate vocational or technical training may substitute for required experience
- Class E driver’s license
- Criminal background check required
- Physical examination required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Six years of appropriate experience
- Working knowledge of computers and asset management systems
- Skilled with hand and power tools
- Ability to perform skilled trade functions
- Ability to read blueprints and schematic or mechanical drawings
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Job Duties
- Clean and maintain offices, restrooms, shops, classrooms, conference rooms, halls, labs, locker rooms, and elevators
- Sweep, dust, high-dust, mop, burnish floors
- Clean walls, doors, and partitions
- Empty trash and recycle bins
- Clean waste receptacles and water fountains
- Vacuum, shampoo, strip, seal, and wax floors
- Steam clean or shampoo carpets
- Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment use
- Clean entrances including doors, mats, handles, steps, patios, and concourses
- Clean interior and exterior glass surfaces
- Clean ceiling lights, vents, and window coverings
- Receive assignments from supervisor
- Oversee and coordinate work of others
- Assist in training custodial employees and inspecting performance
- Perform minor repairs on furniture, fixtures, floors, plumbing, walls, and doors
- Assist maintenance generalists and skilled trades employees
- Perform light plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work within HPWT lines
- Estimate costs for reimbursable work orders
- Complete other duties as assigned
