Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years experience in the field or related area or completion of ninth grade and three years experience
- Valid Class E Florida Driver's License
- Ability to perform physical tasks required for custodial work
- Availability to work 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM Monday through Friday
- Must undergo health assessment
- Willingness to work overtime when needed
- Essential personnel status
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma and two years commercial custodial experience
- Mechanical aptitude and abilities
- Ability to perform light plumbing repairs
- Experience with floor maintenance techniques
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
Job Duties
- Clean and maintain all halls, offices, shops, classrooms, restrooms, conference rooms, labs, gym areas, locker rooms, elevators daily
- Perform minor repair work on furniture, fixtures, floors, plumbing
- Assist skilled trades employees with tasks such as job site preparation, changing belts, filters, lights, ceiling tiles
- Complete light plumbing work including clearing clogged drains and repairing leaky fixtures
- Clean and maintain all floors and floor coverings including vacuuming, shampooing, stripping, sealing, waxing
- Clean entrances, entrance walks, steps and concourses
- Spot clean and clean all exterior and interior glass surfaces, ceiling lights and blinds
- Empty and clean all waste cans, trashcans, recycle bins, water fountains and doormats
- Assist maintenance staff with painting, replacement, remodeling, construction projects and other assigned tasks
