Job Duties

  • Greet and utilize scripting when interacting with patients and customers
  • maintain high levels of flexibility, organization and prioritizing work
  • work in a team environment collaborating with co-workers and unit staff
  • maintain health, safety and attendance requirements
  • adhere to system and department policy and applicable laws and regulations
  • perform daily responsibilities with minimal supervision following departmental duty lists
  • perform other departmental duties as required
  • follow departmental procedure guidelines and standard precautions managing contaminated patient care equipment and supplies
  • conduct daily terminal cleaning and maintain log books using UV-C disinfection technology
  • clean and disinfect all horizontal and vertical surfaces, equipment and furniture
  • properly remove municipal solid waste, regulated medical waste, soiled linen and recyclables
  • perform high and low dusting and apply finish or polish to wood and steel surfaces
  • clean floors, baseboards, corners and edges daily
  • change cubicle curtains as needed
  • maintain pace in high intensity units
  • break down, clean and disinfect specialty equipment such as operating tables
  • move rolling stock such as stretchers and beds as needed
