Job Duties
- Greet and utilize scripting when interacting with patients and customers
- maintain high levels of flexibility, organization and prioritizing work
- work in a team environment collaborating with co-workers and unit staff
- maintain health, safety and attendance requirements
- adhere to system and department policy and applicable laws and regulations
- perform daily responsibilities with minimal supervision following departmental duty lists
- perform other departmental duties as required
- follow departmental procedure guidelines and standard precautions managing contaminated patient care equipment and supplies
- conduct daily terminal cleaning and maintain log books using UV-C disinfection technology
- clean and disinfect all horizontal and vertical surfaces, equipment and furniture
- properly remove municipal solid waste, regulated medical waste, soiled linen and recyclables
- perform high and low dusting and apply finish or polish to wood and steel surfaces
- clean floors, baseboards, corners and edges daily
- change cubicle curtains as needed
- maintain pace in high intensity units
- break down, clean and disinfect specialty equipment such as operating tables
- move rolling stock such as stretchers and beds as needed
