Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in laundry or hospitality preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Must be able to operate laundry equipment safely
- Willingness to comply with safety protocols
- Must have good hearing and visual acuity
- Ability to work in noisy and sometimes hot environments
Job Qualifications
- Prior hotel or laundry experience is desirable
- Bi-lingual is not required but is desirable
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting, stooping, crouching
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow safety and operational procedures
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
Job Duties
- Exceed guest expectations
- Remove and sort dirty linens and towels from laundry carts
- Wash and dry all linens, towels, rags, etc., as directed by management
- Learn, understand and follow the proper operation of washing machines, dryers, other equipment and use of chemicals
- Clean dryer filters daily and maintain all equipment as trained and instructed
- Immediately report any noted repairs or maintenance of laundry equipment, guestroom, public areas, or back of the house areas
- Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority and refer complex issues to management
