Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- GED or HiSET
- experience in environmental services or hospital cleaning preferred
- excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- ability to work effectively in a team environment
- knowledge of cleaning and disinfection protocols
- ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures
- ability to maintain pace in high intensity units
- basic knowledge of handling cleaning equipment
- commitment to safety and compliance with health regulations
Job Duties
- Perform cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, corridors, public rooms, offices, and other assigned areas
- Conduct daily, turnover, and terminal cleaning including specialty areas such as Emergency Department, Operating Rooms, LDRP, NICU, CCN, WETU
- Change cubicle curtains as needed
- Use UV-C disinfection technology and maintain cleaning logs
- Manage disposal of municipal solid waste, regulated medical waste, soiled linen, and recyclables
- Dust and polish wood and steel surfaces
- Clean floors, baseboards, corners, and edges daily
- Break down, clean, and disinfect specialty equipment such as operating tables
- Move equipment like stretchers and beds as required
- Adhere to departmental and system policies and safety regulations
- Collaborate with co-workers and unit staff in a team environment
- Maintain health, safety, and attendance requirements
- Provide excellent customer service and use appropriate scripting when interacting with patients and visitors
- Follow standard precautions including hand hygiene and use of personal protective equipment
- Perform duties with minimal supervision following departmental duty lists
- Perform other departmental duties as assigned
