Blue Skies of Texas Senior Living Community is a distinguished independent living community with a rich legacy of serving retired seniors, both from military and civilian backgrounds. Originally established in 1970 as Air Force Village I, followed by Air Force Village II in 1987, this community was created to honor and support officers of the armed forces and their families. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of experience in housekeeping or similar role
- Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks
- Knowledge of cleaning standards and safety protocols
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or with a team
- Excellent observation and reporting skills
- Commitment to maintaining resident privacy and security
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- At least one year of work experience in a similar position in a retirement community, health care center, residential apartment complex, or hotel in housekeeping is preferred
Job Duties
- Perform routine cleaning and repetitive tasks alone or with others in resident apartments/homes, including baseboard cleaning, wet or damp mopping, sweeping, dusting, window washing, vacuuming, carpet spot cleaning, general cleaning, bathrooms, kitchen, and arranging lightweight furniture and/or equipment
- Sign out and in and observe key control policy designed to ensure resident security and privacy
- Obtain supervisor approval prior to performing resident-requested deviations from regularly scheduled service routines
- Promptly inform supervisor of any changes in resident lifestyle that may indicate the need for senior staff intervention
- Report missing, unserviceable, or defective fixtures and equipment to supervisor for proper action
