Blue Skies of Texas West, formerly known as Air Force Village II, is a not-for-profit, continuing-care retirement community (CCRC) located in San Antonio, Texas. Established in 1987, it is part of the Blue Skies of Texas organization, which has a rich history of providing quality retirement living with an emphasis on individual well-being.

The community offers a comprehensive continuum of care, including independent living, assisted living, dementia care, nursing, and hospice services. Blue Skies West consists of 444 independent living units, comprising four residential mid-rise towers with 205 apartments, 196 garden homes in duplex configurations, 43 single-family garden homes, and a two-story village town center.

The town center features front desk services, a lobby, mail facility, dining room, and meeting rooms. Additional amenities include two chapels, a beauty salon, computer center, woodworking hobby shop, garden plots, driving range, dog park, and an RV storage park.

Expansion and Eligibility

In 2014, Blue Skies of Texas expanded its eligibility to include individuals with no prior military affiliation. This broadened the diversity of the senior living community and reflects the organization's commitment to providing quality retirement living to a wider range of seniors.
