Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to learn and operate heavy battery-operated floor care equipment
- Prior housekeeping experience preferred
- Previous floor refinishing experience preferred
- Commitment to patient satisfaction
- Ability to follow safety regulations
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties and handle equipment

Job Duties
- Ensure and maintain cleanliness of assigned areas including bathrooms, showers, corridors, patient rooms, common areas, staff facilities, public areas, and department offices
- Perform detailed cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, hard surface floor care, wall washing, restocking, linen distribution, collection and inventory
- Clean patient discharge beds and maintain vacuuming and moving of equipment
- Dispose of trash, medical waste, biohazard spills, and recycling appropriately
- Prepare cleaning solutions and housekeeping supplies as assigned
- Dust and clean furniture, windowsills, light fixtures, vents, ledges, blinds, shades, radiators, doors, and frames
- Clean bathrooms, fixtures, pipes, tile walls, metals, partitions and attachments
- Replenish soap and paper supplies as needed
- Disinfect rooms, beds, patient furniture, and equipment such as rolling stock with germicidal solutions
- Operate machines such as compactors, bailers, floor scrubbers, and burnishers
- Follow department regulations, safety standards, and cleaning procedures
- Maintain and clean equipment to ensure good condition
- Set up conference rooms and private dining rooms for meetings and gatherings observing safety rules
