Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in housekeeping especially in healthcare preferred
- Ability to use cleaning chemicals safely and effectively
- Must be punctual and maintain regular attendance
- Ability to understand and follow safety policies and procedures
- Capacity to report repairs needed to equipment and fixtures
- Able to work first shift with rotating weekends and holidays
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience in a healthcare or similar environment preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their appropriate use
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
- Good communication skills in English
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks continuously throughout the shift
Job Duties
- Determine appropriate cleaning chemicals to maintain various surfaces including vinyl, painted, ceramic tile, metal, brick, wood, cork, and concrete
- Perform finishing techniques to protect and preserve floor finishes
- Maintain hospital environment in a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition
- Perform specific cleaning tasks including dusting horizontal surfaces
- Maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness
- Report needed repairs to equipment, furniture, building and fixtures
- Adhere to company rules, technical procedures, and safety policies
- Perform other related duties as assigned
