Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience in housekeeping and laundry services
  • Desire to work with seniors
  • Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Background check clearance
  • Pass drug, tuberculosis tests, and physical evaluation
  • Comply with Covid-19 and Influenza vaccination requirements if mandated
  • Ability to attend required training sessions
  • Valid driver’s license if driving a company vehicle
  • Ability to lift and move cleaning equipment and supplies safely
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Job Duties

  • Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas while meeting or exceeding quality standards
  • Perform scheduled cleaning in assigned areas including resident suites, bathrooms, common areas, and offices
  • Sweep, dust, mop, vacuum, and spot clean floors, rugs, and carpets
  • Clean, sanitize, and polish lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures
  • Dust, wash, sponge mop, sanitize, shampoo furniture, and clean glass surfaces, woodwork, walls, and windowsills
  • Respect residents’ privacy by knocking on doors before entering and during cleaning
  • Maintain equipment and supplies in clean and orderly condition
  • Transport supplies including clean and soiled linen to proper storage and collection areas
  • Collect trash and maintain trash receptacles in a clean and sanitary manner
  • Collect, clean, sort, wash, dry, fold, count, and stack community laundry following approved procedures
  • Inspect linens for wear and tear and handle damaged linens according to standard procedures
  • Maintain commercial laundry in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition
  • Assist Care Managers with resident care when requested
  • Respond positively to resident requests and document pertinent information and changes in daily logs
  • Ensure cleaning chemicals are stored and locked when not in use
  • Keep equipment and hazards out of walkways and in compliance with safety codes
  • Promote and adhere to occupational health and safety requirements
  • Use personal protective equipment and observe safety protocols
  • Maintain equipment to prevent waste, damage, and accidents
  • Comply with infection control techniques and bio-hazard procedures
  • Participate actively as a team member towards team goals
  • Demonstrate teamwork and commitment to service principles
  • Contribute to team engagement activities and attend regular meetings
  • Maintain compliance with required training and perform other assigned duties.
