Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • ability to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures
  • ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
  • effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving concerns raised by co-workers and guests
  • willingness to work a varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • punctuality in clocking in and out for shifts and breaks
  • provide sufficient notice when calling out for shifts
  • physical ability to perform tasks including stooping, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, standing, walking, repetitive motion of wrists and hands, and lifting housekeeping items

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred
  • positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • effective listening and conflict resolution skills
  • clear communication skills
  • desire to serve all guests
  • knowledge of hospitality and guest service principles

Job Duties

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • use guests' names whenever possible to ensure a welcoming experience
  • contribute to great guest satisfaction scores through teamwork
  • handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency
  • maintain strong knowledge of hotel features and amenities
  • support all groups and events at the hotel
  • answer all incoming calls with friendly service using the approved greeting
  • keep all front and back of house areas clean and well-organized
  • pitch in to clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed
  • greet every guest happily by name while cleaning
  • complete all operational checklists accurately and on designated times every shift
  • prepare accurate and timely shift handover reports
  • wear a clean, approved uniform and be well-groomed at all times
  • communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members
  • demonstrate willingness to exceed traditional role duties
  • work collaboratively to foster a welcoming environment for guests and positive workplace
  • complete pre-cleaning duties including stocking supplies, attending meetings, and assisting with laundry
  • thoroughly clean and restock assigned guest rooms per shift
  • perform additional cleaning projects as assigned by supervisor
