Job Requirements

Must be at least eighteen years of age
Must be an American citizen or Green Card holder
Must be willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
Must be able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
Must pass pre-employment drug test including testing for marijuana and other controlled substances
Must comply with grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
Must maintain a positive attitude and ability to work under pressure
Must not consume alcohol while onboard
This is a temporary employment position lasting up to 28 weeks

Job Qualifications

Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
Willingness to abide by strict no alcohol consumption policy during employment
Ability to perform emergency and safety functions as part of shipboard employee training

Job Duties

Responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, safe, and attractive for our guests
Prioritizing comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas around the ship
Acknowledge guests by name and kindly take action for all housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests according to American Cruise Lines' service standards
Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
Organizing inventory and stocking linen and supplies
Carefully cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment and notifying managers of necessary maintenance requests
Collecting and disposing of trash
Properly cleaning upholstered furniture and lounge spaces
Creating genuine relationships with our guests and catering to all housekeeping requests in an efficient manner
Assisting with guest greeting upon embarkation and supporting special events such as afternoon tea and evening cocktail parties
