Job Requirements
- completion of eleventh grade or equivalent
- considerable experience cooking foods in large quantities
- ability to obtain ServSafe certification
- must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- availability to work all shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
- successful completion of criminal record, child protective services, tuberculin and drug screenings
- completion of IS100 and IS700 NIMS training within 90 days of employment
- willingness to accept special assignments during emergencies
Job Qualifications

- knowledge of health and sanitary standards

Job Duties
- prepares and cooks meats, vegetables and other foods in accordance with menu
- readies meals for transport and serving in each pod
- bakes pastries and breads
- operates standard cooking equipment such as ranges, mixers, food choppers and other kitchen equipment
- assists in estimating and ordering food supplies
- cleans kitchen and equipment
- washes dishes
- receives and stacks food supplies
- maintains health and sanitary standards
- conducts routine inventory count of silverware
- dates and rotates food on shelves when food is delivered
- carries out trash and garbage
- performs other duties to provide direct or indirect service to the citizens as assigned
