Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a hotel restaurant or free-standing restaurant
- knowledge of health and safety regulations
- able to maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress code standards
- keen interest in New York's restaurant and dining scene
- friendly and outgoing personality
- confident, poised, and gracious at all times
- guest-focused with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
- standing for long periods of time

Job Duties
- Greet guests promptly and courteously with eye contact, a smile, and excellent engagement
- maintain an efficient operation of the dining room ensuring excellence in quality, professionalism, and sociability
- look after all aspects of guest arrival including coat check, seating, and making guests comfortable
- manage the restaurant reservations system
- take note of special preferences of guests and update guest history
- follow restaurant-specific standard operating procedures
- interact professionally with servers, bartenders, and managers
- handle and print menus including explanations and communication of menu items
- assist with day-to-day operation of the front and back of house relating to reception desk activities
