Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum six months host experience
- Background in restaurant service
- CA Food Handlers Certification
- TIPS Certification or certified within 90 days
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
- Fluent in English
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Capability to operate Yelp and Tock Reservation systems
- Ability to prioritize and troubleshoot
- Willingness to perform opening and closing duties
- Commitment to safety and company policies
Job Qualifications

- Fluent in English

- Proficient in Yelp Reservation system and Tock Reservations
Job Duties
- Checks-in with the manager or supervisor at the start of each shift
- Prepares the restaurant operation before opening
- Ensures the front-of-house is presentable and host stand is stocked
- Welcomes and thanks guests warmly while inviting them back
- Responds to guest inquiries and requests promptly
- Oversees seating plan and monitors restaurant activity
- Reports issues to manager or supervisor
- Communicates operational information to service personnel
- Schedules phone and online reservations
- Answers phones within three rings
- Confirms upcoming reservations
- Builds relationships with guests as they dine
- Communicates guest information to servers
- Takes lead on guest issues
- Sets example of excellence in standards
- Delivers beverage and food orders
- Maintains cleanliness and tidiness of restaurant
- Performs opening and closing duties
- Assists servers with side work such as cleaning and stocking
- Clears and resets tables neatly
