Job Requirements
- Ability to take direction and work in a team environment
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge
- Knowledge and comprehension of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
- Basic English language and professional communication skills are required
- Able to independently lift up to 15lbs for an extended period
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs while carrying food items and dishes throughout shifts
- Must be able to walk or stand for 8-10 hours per day
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Ability to reach, bend, twist, stoop, push, pull, and lift overhead
- Must be able to climb stairs in multi-level restaurant locations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is a plus but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
- Knowledge of food service etiquette and safety protocols is advantageous
- Basic English language proficiency and professional communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Job Duties
- Greet guests warmly and manage the flow of guests in the dining room
- Explain Nando's unique service style to guests in a friendly and approachable manner
- Recognize regular and first-time guests to personalize the dining experience
- Ensure that every guest leaves the restaurant satisfied and happy
- Maintain a professional and poised demeanor under pressure
- Coordinate seating arrangements and accommodate special guest needs
- Collaborate with team members to uphold excellent service standards
