Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a baker
  • Able to follow recipes and procedures accurately
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time up to 8 hours
  • ServSafe Certification and California Food Handler card required within 30 days
  • Must be 18 years or older

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a baker using commercial baking equipment and tools
  • Attention to detail in following and troubleshooting recipes, food preparation, presentation, inventory, labeling, and food safety knowledge
  • Able to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs
  • Able to stand for long periods up to 8 hours per shift
  • Enjoys working as part of a team and collaborates professionally
  • ServSafe Certification, California Food Handler card required within 30 days post-hire
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Job Duties

  • Produce all Bi-Rite baked goods, sauces, and ice cream for events, catering, and markets
  • Follow Bi-Rite recipes accurately ensuring all standards are met
  • Work with Bakery Service Supervisor to determine production quantities and daily pars
  • Receive and properly put away dairy and dry good deliveries
  • Organize and rotate backstock and supplies
  • Maintain clean work areas and equipment
  • Perform pre-baking, baking, and post-baking procedures in a timely, clean, and organized manner
