Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a baker
- Able to follow recipes and procedures accurately
- Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time up to 8 hours
- ServSafe Certification and California Food Handler card required within 30 days
- Must be 18 years or older
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a baker using commercial baking equipment and tools
- Attention to detail in following and troubleshooting recipes, food preparation, presentation, inventory, labeling, and food safety knowledge
- Able to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs
- Able to stand for long periods up to 8 hours per shift
- Enjoys working as part of a team and collaborates professionally
- ServSafe Certification, California Food Handler card required within 30 days post-hire
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Job Duties
- Produce all Bi-Rite baked goods, sauces, and ice cream for events, catering, and markets
- Follow Bi-Rite recipes accurately ensuring all standards are met
- Work with Bakery Service Supervisor to determine production quantities and daily pars
- Receive and properly put away dairy and dry good deliveries
- Organize and rotate backstock and supplies
- Maintain clean work areas and equipment
- Perform pre-baking, baking, and post-baking procedures in a timely, clean, and organized manner
