Job Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent
- Two to five years related experience and/or training
- Pilots must have flown in category for commercial operator or military within 24 months
- Maintain weight not to exceed 250 pounds
- Be under 70 years old
- Hold Commercial and Instrument Rating
- Hold ATP rating in category
- Possess First or Second Class FAA Medical certificate
- Ability to complete detailed flight planning
- Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships
- Regular scheduled attendance
- Willingness to travel up to 10 percent
Job Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with two to five years related experience and/or training
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Pilots must have flown in category for a commercial operator or military within previous 24 months
- 2,000 total flight hours with minimum 1,500 hours in category (VFR program)
- 1,000 hours PIC in category (VFR program)
- 500 hours rotor wing turbine time (VFR program)
- 200 hours cross-country flight time with at least 50 hours at night (VFR program)
- 100 hours unaided night as PIC with substitution allowed by NVG time (VFR program)
- 50 hours total actual or hood instrument time in flight and category (VFR program)
- 2,500 total flight hours with minimum 2,000 hours in category (IFR program)
- 1,000 hours PIC in category (IFR program)
- 500 hours cross-country flight time and 100 hours night flight time (IFR program)
- 75 hours instrument time including 50 hours in flight and 20 hours in actual instrument conditions in category (IFR program)
- Commercial and Instrument rating for category and class of aircraft
- ATP rating in category
- First or Second Class FAA Medical certificate
Job Duties
- Operate Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner
- Complete pre-flight inspections verifying aircraft airworthiness
- Serve as final authority on aircraft operations and safety
- Maintain familiarity with all aircraft and medical systems including backup aircraft
- Complete required documentation and flight planning
- Participate in Air Methods meetings, activities, projects, committees, and community outreach
- Perform other assigned duties
