Job Qualifications
- 3+ years in professional, high-volume food production or catering or equivalent education and/or experience
- culinary degree is a plus
- ability to pass a background check
- valid manager level sanitation certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- proficiency in various cooking methods, cuisines, and procedures
- strong team collaboration skills
- excellent record of kitchen and staff management
- ability to handle emergency situations with accuracy and speed
- commitment to professional appearance and positive attitude
- familiar with industry best practices
Job Duties
- Prepare, design, and execute menus
- conduct menu meetings with chapters
- create high-quality meals with excellent presentation and flavor
- send photos regularly of meal presentations to management
- maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining area
- wash kitchen utensils, equipment, and dishes
- ensure timely kitchen operation
- oversee and train kitchen staff
- manage staff schedules
- assess performance with management approval
- order supplies within budget
- stock inventory
- enforce sanitation and food safety standards per regulations
- maintain professional and positive attitude
- assist in planning and executing special events
- communicate regularly with management
- ensure compliance with all policies among staff
