Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years in professional, high-volume food production or catering or equivalent education and/or experience
  • culinary degree is a plus
  • ability to pass a background check
  • valid manager level sanitation certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
  • proficiency in various cooking methods, cuisines, and procedures
  • strong team collaboration skills
  • excellent record of kitchen and staff management
  • ability to handle emergency situations with accuracy and speed
  • commitment to professional appearance and positive attitude
  • familiar with industry best practices

Job Duties

  • Prepare, design, and execute menus
  • conduct menu meetings with chapters
  • create high-quality meals with excellent presentation and flavor
  • send photos regularly of meal presentations to management
  • maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining area
  • wash kitchen utensils, equipment, and dishes
  • ensure timely kitchen operation
  • oversee and train kitchen staff
  • manage staff schedules
  • assess performance with management approval
  • order supplies within budget
  • stock inventory
  • enforce sanitation and food safety standards per regulations
  • maintain professional and positive attitude
  • assist in planning and executing special events
  • communicate regularly with management
  • ensure compliance with all policies among staff
