Job Requirements

  • 3+ years in professional kitchen or catering experience
  • culinary degree preferred
  • valid manager level sanitation certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
  • ability to work well in a team environment
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to maintain kitchen sanitation and food safety
  • capability to manage kitchen staff and schedules
  • ability to handle a fast-paced, busy kitchen environment
  • physical ability to stand for long hours and lift up to 50 pounds
  • willingness to work occasional special events

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years in professional, high-volume food production or catering or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • culinary degree is a plus
  • valid manager level sanitation certification or obtain within 30 days of employment
  • ability to work well as part of a team
  • proficiency in various cooking methods, cuisines, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • demonstrate professional appearance and positive attitude
  • maintain excellent record of kitchen and staff management
  • exhibit accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations
  • familiarity with industry best practices

Job Duties

  • Prepare, design, and execute menus
  • conduct menu meetings with chapters
  • create high-quality meals with excellent presentation and flavor
  • send photos of meal presentations to management regularly
  • maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining room
  • wash kitchen utensils, equipment, and dishes
  • ensure the kitchen operates in a timely manner
  • oversee and train kitchen staff, manage schedules, and assess performance with management approval
  • order supplies according to budget and stock inventory
  • enforce sanitation and food safety standards per regulations
  • maintain a professional and positive attitude with coworkers and customers
  • assist in planning and executing special events
  • communicate regularly with management
  • ensure compliance with company policies among staff
