Job Requirements

  • Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Minimum of 1 year cooking experience
  • Knowledge of soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry food preparation
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform job functions
  • Frequently immerse hands in water and chemical solutions
  • Frequently work with sharp knives, utensils, and hot plates
  • Frequently work in hot environment

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of related cooking experience
  • Experience in high volume or fast casual dining preferred
  • Knowledge of food preparation and HACCP standards
  • Familiarity with soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry stations
  • Ability to read, comprehend instructions, and converse comfortably with customers
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods
  • Experience working with sharp knives and hot plates
  • Capability to work in a hot and fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare cooked foods and perform all station functions of Fry, Flat Top Griddle, Pantry, and cooking eggs
  • Communicate ticket times and potential problems to management and servers
  • Follow recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving food items including soups, meats, vegetables, desserts
  • Taste products, follow menus, estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records for planning and requisitioning supplies
  • Clean and sanitize work stations and equipment
  • Practice excellent food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with HACCP
  • Operate kitchen equipment, measure and mix ingredients, wash, peel, cut, and shred fruits and vegetables
  • Stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of products
