Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 1 year guest services, general office, accounts receivable, or customer service experience
  • ability to speak and hear in English
  • ability to stand for long periods and walk extended distances
  • ability to lift and carry 6-25 lbs
  • ability to use manual dexterity and motor skills
  • willingness to work overtime and irregular hours

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 1 year guest services, general office, accounts receivable, or customer service experience
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to multitask and use personal judgment
  • proficiency in handling financial transactions
  • ability to supervise and lead associates
  • capable of operating telephone, fax, and switchboard equipment

Job Duties

  • Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests
  • issue room key and escort instructions without announcing room numbers
  • answer inquiries about hotel services, registration, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions
  • keep records of room availability and guest accounts
  • make, confirm, and cancel reservations
  • compute bills, collect payments, and make change
  • post charges by hand or machine
  • date-stamp, sort, and rack incoming mail and messages
  • transmit and receive messages via telephone, fax, and switchboard
  • enforce hotel company credit policies
  • account for cash and make deposits according to policies
  • greet guests warmly
  • take responsibility for assigned employees in manager's absence
  • assign work and ensure performance
  • make restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservations
  • deposit guest valuables in safe
  • order complimentary items for special guests
  • perform other duties as assigned
