Job Requirements

  • Be 16 years or older preferred
  • ability to physically perform essential duties including sitting for long periods
  • ability to comply with employer and department personnel policies and work rules
  • ability to work extended, weekend, and/or evening hours
  • ability to work on several tasks simultaneously under time pressure
  • availability for seasonal employment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in cash handling or customer service preferred
  • working knowledge of standard office and department policies and procedures
  • ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • strong communication skills both oral and written
  • sensitivity to professional ethics, gender, cultural diversities, and disabilities
  • ability to serve the public with diplomacy and respect
  • ability to handle stressful or hostile situations professionally

Job Duties

  • Serve as Guest Relations Associate for the Parks and Recreation Department
  • manage day-to-day cash office operations at Tropicanoe Cove Family Aquatic Center
  • maintain accurate daily amusement sales ledger and cash handling procedures
  • use cleaning supplies to keep work areas clean
  • collect money from customers and maintain correct balance in cash drawer
  • log and complete record keeping of cash office data
  • perform simple arithmetic additions and subtractions
  • perform related duties as assigned
