Job Duties
- Greet customers with a friendly demeanor and assist with product questions and special orders
- Communicate positively and professionally with staff and coworkers
- Perform accurate and efficient cashiering, including managing payments, returns, and discounts
- Follow department protocols for register operation and security procedures
- Alert management to potential theft or emergencies and document scanning errors
- Maintain clean workspaces and assist with front-end congestion
- Collect and return carts and baskets and stock supplies as assigned
- Prepare storage areas for deliveries and check deliveries for quality and accuracy
- Help unload and organize stock, rotate products, and maintain attractive displays
- Pull out of date or low-quality items per procedures
- Label items accurately and maintain stocking lists
- Trim, wash, and bundle produce following manager priorities
- Monitor cooler temperatures and participate in inventory activities
- Clean spills and maintain cleanliness in bulk and display areas
- Comply with safety protocols and equipment operation guidelines
- Attend department and store meetings
- Assist front end as needed and perform other assigned tasks
