Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred
- Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday with variable hours
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items safely
- Must comply with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Willingness to participate in required training and safety meetings
Job Qualifications
- Prior experience using kitchen equipment
- Experience with batch cooking or working on grill/fry station
- Ability to follow food safety standards and recipes
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation
- Good interpersonal skills for teamwork
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and portion control
Job Duties
- Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation
- Complete orders from steam tables and serve customers at multiple stations
- Serve customers efficiently and in a friendly manner following established service steps
- Ensure food is at correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
- Use ticket-collection procedures during service and maintain records
- Use approved recipes and production standards for quality, temperature and portion control
- Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food following safety standards
- Store foods properly with standard wrapping, dating and rotation
- Clean, sanitize and maintain work areas, equipment and utensils
- Resolve customer concerns and report to supervisor
- Attend in-service and safety meetings
- Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
- Perform job safely and maintain a clean, safe work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
