Job Requirements
- Ability to read and write in order to communicate and give instructions to patients
- No prior work experience required
- Ability to perform very heavy work including lifting and assisting patients
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to stoop, bend, reach and grab with arms and hands
- Must follow compliance, privacy, and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read and write in order to communicate and give instructions to patients
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good judgement skills
- Telephone skills
- Preferred - High school diploma or equivalent
Job Duties
- Greets patients/visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Assists patients in/out of vehicle in a safe manner
- Directs patients/visitors to the appropriate departments and accurately answer patients' questions
- Works harmoniously with volunteers and medical personnel to ensure a steady supply of wheelchairs at front doors through the day
- Maintains assigned entrances in a clean and orderly manner
- Participates in activities for personnel development and required training
- Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style
- Other related duties as required
