Job Requirements

  • Ability to read and write in order to communicate and give instructions to patients
  • No prior work experience required
  • Ability to perform very heavy work including lifting and assisting patients
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, reach and grab with arms and hands
  • Must follow compliance, privacy, and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read and write in order to communicate and give instructions to patients
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good judgement skills
  • Telephone skills
  • Preferred - High school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Greets patients/visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Assists patients in/out of vehicle in a safe manner
  • Directs patients/visitors to the appropriate departments and accurately answer patients' questions
  • Works harmoniously with volunteers and medical personnel to ensure a steady supply of wheelchairs at front doors through the day
  • Maintains assigned entrances in a clean and orderly manner
  • Participates in activities for personnel development and required training
  • Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style
  • Other related duties as required
