Job Requirements
- obtain a certified ServSafe Food Handler or related food safety certification within 45 days of hire
Job Qualifications
- 3 years of hands-on experience in professional cooking and food preparation, including recipe execution, ingredient prepping, and maintaining kitchen efficiency
- proven ability to perform high-volume cooking in fast-paced environments
- hands-on experience in catering, with a strong understanding of food preparation and event logistics
- demonstrated success collaborating within team-based settings while maintaining effective communication
- strong initiative and motivation, with a track record of working independently and efficiently without supervision
- capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds
Job Duties
- deliver exceptional customer service that reflects the warm and welcoming standards of Table 29
- embrace and embody the restaurant’s vision and values to create meaningful guest experiences
- bring a positive, energetic presence that uplifts the team and enhances the atmosphere
- prepare and cook meals using standard recipes and techniques like baking, chopping, and grilling
- operate and maintain kitchen equipment
- ensure ingredients are prepped, inventory is rotated, and food safety standards are met through proper temperature checks, labeling, and sanitation practices
